Introduction

‘Summer School @ Fudan SOE 2022’ is held by the School of Economics of Fudan University, providing 14 courses taught in English and covering economics, finance, marketing, data science, history, sociology, etc. By tapping into the world-class resources of Fudan University, we aim to bring you an exciting and enriching summer!

Applicants over 18 years’ old who are interested in the courses offered*.

Teaching Mode

Online only*

*According to the current local COVID-19 situation as well as the epidemic prevention and control measures of Shanghai and Fudan University, seven face-to-face courses are moved to online instruction and two face-to-face courses are cancelled. That is to say, all 14 courses will be delivered online via Zoom synchronously. Please check the course list below for details.

Assessment

Assessment is decided by the course instructor.

Certificate

After successful completion of the program, applicants will earn the certificate and transcript issued by the School of Economics, Fudan University (non-degree education).

How to apply

Application deadline: 23:59, May 15, 2022

For Chinese applicants (including Chinese citizens from China’s mainland, Hong Kong, Macao or Taiwan):

i. Apply via https://www.wjx.cn/vj/exvyIAa.aspx

ii. Fill in the application and upload the supporting documents.

iii. After submitting the application, applicants will be notified to pay the application fee (CNY 400) by email.

iv. The online application cannot be reviewed and processed unless the application fee has been paid.

v. Once admitted, applicants will receive an admission notice with the tuition payment information and the course enrollment guide.

For international applicants holding a foreign passport:

i. Apply via http://admission.iso.fudan.edu.cn/

ii. Create an account and complete the online application. Applicants need to upload all supporting documents including the passport and the transcript and pay an application fee of CNY 400.

iii. Program Code：698801

iv. Once pre-admitted, applicants will receive the course enrollment email.

v. Once officially admitted by the International Student Office of Fudan University, applicants will receive the admission notice with the tuition payment information included.

* Please note that there will be NO VISA documents issued by the university for international travelling.

Course Enrollment

i. Students can take 1-2 courses.

ii. Deadline for Course Enrollment: 23:59, May 18, 2022

iii. If applicants submit the course enrollment questionnaire more than once, the system will only take the most recent submission as the final course enrollment.

iv. Dropping, adding, and changing courses will NOT be processed after the deadline.

v. The program office has the right to cancel low enrollment courses after course enrollment deadline and will inform relevant students of any adjustment in time. If the courses enrolled in by applicants are cancelled, applicants can either enroll in other courses to replace the cancelled ones, or withdraw from the program and request a full refund except the application fee.

Fee and Payment

Payment method: All payments should be made via the Fudan Payment Service Platform.

Application fee: CNY 400 per person (non-refundable)

Tuition: CNY 28,600 per person

Deadline for tuition payment: Tuition should be paid before the deadline notified in the admission notice. Otherwise, it will be deemed as withdrawal.

Refund Policy: The application fee is non-refundable unless the program is cancelled. And if the courses enrolled in by the applicants are cancelled, applicants can either enroll in other courses to replace the cancelled ones, or withdraw from the program and request a full refund except the application fee.

Refund for ANY personal reasons (Beijing time):

i. 50% of the tuition can be refunded if the request is made before 24:00, May 29, 2022.

ii. 25% of the tuition can be refunded if the request is made between 24:00, May 30 and 24:00, June 5, 2022.

iii. No refund upon requests made after 00:00, June 6, 2022.

*All refund mentioned above does not include the bank charges and differences caused by exchange rate changes.
